Jesse H. Rigsby, IV "Jess"
Business Torts; Catastrophic Personal Injury; Wrongful Death
An associate in the firm, Jess received his B.A. in Political
Science (Philosophy minor) from Vanderbilt University in 1997, where
he graduated magna cum laude. At Vanderbilt, Jess was designated a
Vanderbilt College Scholar, elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and became a
member of the Pi Sigma Alpha political science honors society. In
2000, Jess received his A.M. (Master of Arts) degree in the Social
Sciences from University of Chicago.
In 2006, Jess received his law degree from Duke University School of
Law, where he graduated with high honors. Jess also attained
membership in the Order of the Coif, an honor open only to those who
graduated in the top ten percent of their law school class. While at
Duke Law, Jess worked as a research assistant for a leading scholar
and expert on structured finance and asset securitization.
Jess is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, the
Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the North Carolina Bar
